Update: On 1/4/2020 they announced on their IG that they’ll sadly be closing down the store 😞
Today was the “soft grand opening” for L’ovue, a brand new kbeauty store located in Ktown between 32nd and 33rd on 5th ave! I only heard of this place through Cupidrop’s Instagram and was wondering why I hadn’t read any official announcement online. Apparently, there was a small event for some beauty bloggers yesterday that was sponsored by them.
I’ve been searching for a new toner now that the weather is getting warmer and more humid. I needed something that was light yet hydrating enough for my oily, dehydrated and acne-prone skin. I also wanted something that didn’t leave a sticky finish, like my Whamisa Organic Flowers toner.
I’ve never used any products from Klairs before, but have heard many great things about the original version of this toner. I finally decided to give this toner a shot now that there was a fragrance-free version available.
Today I’ll be talking about the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule. Centella is one of my favorite ingredients in skincare products. When I found out that there was an ampoule that was 100% centella, I knew I had to try it out for myself!
My skin has been so irritated by the rapid changes in the weather lately. One day it’ll be 30 degrees and then the next, it’ll be 60 and raining! My skin just can’t keep up with it! As a result, my skin has been breaking out like crazy. I really needed something that would help calm down and soothe my irritated acne-prone skin, so I was very excited to try out this product!
Welcome to my first official review! Today I’ll be talking about the Nooni Advanced Repair Therapy Radiance Peel Pads. Exfoliating pads are my favorite methods of exfoliating, so I was really glad when I stumbled upon these while searching for a new peeling pad.
Update: This is hella old and my routine is definitely not this complicated or as long as it used to be. I’ve learned a lot more in terms of product knowledge and skin since then, but I’ll leave this up for posterity 😉
Here’s an outline of my current skincare routine. Our skin is always changing, so every once in a while I’ll switch up products to target specific concerns that my skin is facing at that time. As of now, I’ve found a pretty solid and simple routine. (Update: I thought this was a simple routine!?)
The focus of my routine is mainly acne care and dehydration, so I tend to use products that are soothing and hydrating. Of course, my prescription treatments are the main acne fighters for my routine.
Note that this isn’t a review of any products here, but simply a breakdown of what I am using at the moment. I’ll probably do in-depth reviews of some of the products I mention here in the future.
