Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner Review

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner Review

Now that it’s fall, the air is starting to get drier and colder. My skin gets dehydrated easily, and this weather has definitely been making it feel worse. My face starts to feel pretty tight and dry throughout the day as if it needs a gallon of water to keep it hydrated.

I heard some great things about Isntree and their Hyaluronic Acid Toner and thought it would be a good opportunity to put it to the test and try it out on my dehydrated skin.

This toner contains great skin-soothing, moisturizing, and humectant ingredients like sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan, aloe leaf extract, Panthenol, Betula Alba Extract, and Portulaca Oleracea Extract.

  • Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium form of hyaluronic acid. It’s a humectant that attracts and binds moisture from the atmosphere onto the skin. It can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water!
  • Betula Alba Extract comes from the sap of the white birch tree and can help hydrate, soothe, and reduce inflammation.
  • Beta-Glucan is a great humectant derived from yeast that has wound healing, soothing, and moisturizing properties.
  • Portulaca Oleracea Extract is a traditional Korean herb that’s used to treat infections and irritation. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It’s a common ingredient in many kbeauty products.
  • Panthenol has anti-inflammatory, wound healing, and skin-protecting properties.

Experience

Unlike many toners that have a very watery consistency, this toner is pretty viscous and gel-like. It actually feels slightly tacky upon application. After a few seconds, it dissipates and absorbs completely, leaving a plump, hydrated feeling to the skin. It’s quite common for many hyaluronic acid based products to have this initial tackiness to it. There’s no fragrance or discernible scent at all, which is great if you have sensitive skin or are aversive to fragrance.

I definitely wasn’t expecting it to feel as thick and gel-like as it does. However, It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all and absorbs leaving a lightweight, smooth finish. This toner would be great for all skin types, especially if you have dehydrated or dry skin.

I loved how soothing and gentle it felt on my skin, it definitely made my skin feel soft and supple. I had no negative reactions from it either, which was great considering I’m very acne prone. However, I didn’t feel like it was extremely hydrating like some of the Amazon reviews claimed. But I was testing this out during the summer, so the humidity in the air was probably keeping my dehydrated skin in check.

Fast forward to a few months later now that the summer has ended, I’ve found myself with parched, dehydrated skin once again. The cold, frigid air outside plus the heat from inside definitely took a toll on my skin. I decided to use this toner again and was pleasantly surprised to feel the difference in hydration this time.

My skin usually gets these flaky, dry patches around my mouth and nostrils due to some over-exfoliation with my acids. However, on days when I used this toner, those pesky patches did not make an appearance and my skin felt nicely hydrated.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed using the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner! It provided nice, soothing hydration that helped plump up my skin and combat dry flakiness. If you’re looking for a hyaluronic acid-based toner that provides deep hydration, I would recommend giving this toner a try!
